Make sure to stop along the way to see the sites in Kansas City, go to the <a href="http://www.rollinghillswildlife.com/">Rolling Hills Zoo</a> in Salina, and stop to stay at the <a href="http://www.highplainscamping.com/">High Plains Camging RV Park</a> on the way to the giant Van Gogh painting in Goodland, KS. If you aren&#8217;t traveling down I-70, have no fear because some of the best destinations that Kansas has to offer come when you get &#8220;off the beaten path&#8221;.  Try two of the <a href="http://www.kansassampler.org/8wonders/">Wonders of Kansas</a> in Hutchinson, KS in the <a href="http://www.undergroundmuseum.org/index.php">Underground Salt Museum</a> and the <a href="http://www.cosmo.org/">Kansas Cospomosphere &amp; Space Center</a>.  No matter what you choose to do, Kansas has many State Parks and RV-friendly destinations to suite your liking.</p>

For a more challenging hike, the Window Trail provides a 4-mile roundtrip trek that descends 800 feet from the trailhead and leads to the “window,” the pour-off that drains the entire Chisos Basin.</p>

<p>The National Park Service maintains three campgrounds within the park; generators are allowed at two of them during certain hours. A concessionaire also operates a full hook-up campground at Rio Grande Village (432-477-2293).</p>
