Colorado Day is August 6th

Whether you are new to the state of Colorado and the 42 state parks or have lived there all of your life, join in the annual celebration of Colorado Day on August 6th. On this day, Colorado Parks and Wildlife is offering free entrance at all state parks. The day commemorates the anniversary of statehood granted in 1876.

This day would be a wonderful opportunity for you to check out a new place to camp – make a day, take friends, a picnic lunch, and check out the best camping spot for those used travel trailers that you just purchased. The state parks are scattered throughout Colorado and offer a showcase of the state’s varied landscapes. Whether you want prairies, mountains, rivers or reservoirs, you will find it in the Colorado State Parks. Make plans to visit on Colorado Day now!

Camp Michigan

Did you know that July 2012 is Michigan Camping and RV Month?

Michigan has more than 950 private RV parks and campgrounds in addition to the 98 state parks, 133 state forest campgrounds and 7 areas in Michigan under the US Forest Service. That is over 140,000 campsites!

Whether you are headed out in a tent to a rustic site or you have just purchased from a great selection of used motorhomes that need full hook-up, you are sure to find a perfect spot in Michigan. Plan ahead with friends to take your toys in your used toy haulers by picking a spot near ATV trails so you can ride all day and sit by the campfire all evening!
